A little bit about me.
I was born in Brazil in the countryside of Bahia, a place where people contemplate nature with gratitude, appreciate the simple things of life and relate to each other with kindness and compassion.
Paradoxically I grew up in a culture of self-medication, where for any ache there is a pill to, and for each pain there is a diagnosis that didn't inform much about its origins.
Growing up in this context and under the pressure of modern life I became not surprisingly quite stressed, tense, anxious and my body started giving me signals that I could no longer suppress them with medication.
I have tried everything I could with conventional medicine but it didn't help much with my back pain, neither it helped me to feel calmer or less anxious. It was only when I came across massage and yoga that I started feeling a positive state of well-being that I have forgotten of, and that was a turning point in my life and in my career.
Those changes also influenced me to leave Brazil and move to England in the Autumn of 2005, and since then I became very interested in helping others to minimize their suffering and to increase their sources of wellbeing through my work.
I completed a Post graduation Diploma in Coaching Psychology at the University of East London in 2010, and in 2011 I fully qualified as massage therapist at the London School of Massage. In 2012 I became a Reiki practitioner.
